PTA stands for Parents and Teachers Association. It is presently run by parents of pupils at St Luke’s. All parents become members of the group when their children join the School. We meet at times across the year to discuss current issues and forthcoming events.
What do we do?
The PTA organises and runs a number of events, throughout the academic year, ranging from ‘Family Nights’, school discos through to the Summer Fair. All proceeds raised at these functions are used to directly benefit the children of St Luke’s School.
We have funded iPads, books and transport for school trips amongst other things. We have supported the school with developing and refreshing some of the inside and outside spaces including the courtyard and the libraries. The PTA committee will keep you updated on the fundraising total at our meetings. We’re also really keen to hear your ideas of where you think the school would benefit from PTA funds.
How can you help?
We welcome any help in any form! We recognise that parents have many commitments and may be able to help in different ways. If it’s manning a stall, baking a cake, donating prizes (we accept these at any time of the year), selling raffle tickets, coming to meetings, giving us ideas or feedback we want to hear from you!
